Thank you for visiting the web-site of the LEE ROBERSON MEMORIAL.  This site was created to inform each visitor about a fund that has been set up through the ministry of the Hillside Baptist Church in Hixson, TN where Steve Cape is the pastor.

Throughout the last seven years of Dr. Roberson’s life, Bro. Cape and the people of Hillside Baptist Church, had the blessing of hearing Dr. Roberson preach at their Church over 30 different times.  The last message Dr. Roberson preached was on March 4, 2007, at Hillside just a few weeks before he was called to Heaven.

A few years before Dr. Roberson went to be with the Lord, Pastor Cape and the people of Hillside Baptist Church, gave Dr. Roberson a plaque stating that they were making him honorary Pastor of their Church.  If Dr. Roberson had a cancellation or an open date in his schedule, then he would have an open invitation to preach at the Church any time he desired.

Shortly after Dr. Roberson went to Heaven, the Lord impressed upon Pastor Cape to help see to it that a proper memorial be constructed, at or near Dr. Roberson’s gravesite.  After meeting with some of Dr. Roberson’s family and then seeking counsel from several individuals that have been influenced by his life and ministry, the LEE ROBERSON MEMORIAL FUND was established by the membership of the Hillside Baptist Church and is being overseen by their faithful deacons.

The monument will be erected about 30 feet from Dr. and Mrs. Roberson’s burial site on a knoll just at the entrance of Greenwood Cemetery on Missionary Ridge.  The knoll overlooks the spot where Dr. and Mrs. Roberson buried their little baby Joy in August of 1946.  The house in which Dr. and Mrs. Roberson resided is only about 3 miles from the cemetery.

You could purchase a brick paver at the cost of ($75-4”x8” brick or $100-8”x8” brick) that will be installed at and around the base of the memorial.  Will you help us with this project?  If you are a Pastor, would you be willing to take up a one time special offering for this project?  Several churches are contributing $1,000.00 and others are contributing less, but whatever your gift it would be greatly appreciated.  May I encourage each of you to personally give to this project.  Maybe you could have a special day to honor the great men of the past.  Any gift would be appreciated, whether given by an individual, a local church ministry or by a Christian business.
